Proceeds from the 5K4Life Road Race benefit Prize4Life, an ALS non-profit organization founded on the belief that prizes can drive innovation in the search for an ALS treatment or cure. 

Most ALS patients are given two to three years to live after their diagnosis, or about 1,000 days. Prize4Life hopes to change this grim prognosis with $1M prizes that encourage researchers to focus on ALS and to develop promising new therapeutics.
